English Teacher - Second Grade

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Second Grade English Teacher to deliver engaging, age-appropriate English language instruction to young learners. The ideal candidate will build strong foundational literacy skills while creating a warm, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment for 7–8 year old students, many of whom are learning English as an additional language.

• Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field (required)

• Prior experience teaching young learners (KG–Grade 3)

• Strong command of English (spoken and written); native or near-native fluency preferred

• Familiarity with phonics programs and early literacy frameworks is a plus

• Plan and deliver daily English lessons covering reading, writing, speaking, listening, phonics, and vocabulary in line with the school's curriculum

• Develop students' foundational literacy skills through phonics-based instruction, guided reading, and shared writing activities

• Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment appropriate for young learners

• Differentiate instruction to meet a range of English proficiency levels and learning styles

• Use varied teaching methods (songs, games, visual aids, storytelling, movement) to maintain engagement

• Assess student progress through informal and formal methods; maintain accurate records
