Design Engineer (Civil/Structural & PV Solar)

We are seeking a qualified Design Engineer with a Civil Engineering background and strong experience in structural design and photovoltaic (PV) solar projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analysing, and reviewing structural systems for buildings and solar installations while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.

* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

* Minimum 5 years of experience in structural design and PV solar projects.

* Experience with PV design software is preferred.

* Familiarity with international design codes and standards.

* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

* Prepare structural designs, calculations, and analysis for buildings, steel structures, foundations, and solar mounting systems.

* Design and review PV solar systems, including structural support systems and foundation requirements.

* Develop engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.

* Perform load calculations, structural assessments, and feasibility studies.

* Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, solar engineers, contractors, and clients.

* Review shop drawings, material submitting, and technical documentation.

* Ensure designs comply with local and international codes, standards, and safety requirements.

* Provide technical support during procurement, construction, and project execution phases.

* Conduct site visits and inspections as required to verify design implementation.

* Assist in cost estimation, value engineering, and optimization of structural and solar solutions.
